Turning Theology into Conversation

Resources that Inspire Spiritual Growth

Every family deserves tools that make studying the Bible simple, rich, and faithful. These are a few of my favorite resources.
The ones that have shaped how we create our studies and how our own family learns together. Each helps you grow in biblical understanding and turn theology into everyday conversation at home.

DTS Free Courses

Few resources have shaped Family Theologians as deeply as the free courses offered by Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS). Their class on Jonah was a major influence in developing our own Jonah study, and Dr. Howard G. Hendricksโ€™s timeless course, How to Read the Bible Like a Seminary Professor, is the foundation of how we teach families to observe, interpret, and apply Scripture.

You can explore these and many other high-quality Bible courses for free at: https://www.dts.edu/free-online-courses/

BibleProject

If youโ€™re a visual learner or just want to see Scripture come alive, BibleProject is one of the most engaging resources available.
Their short, beautifully animated videos explain books of the Bible, key themes, and theology in a way that kids and adults can grasp together.
Itโ€™s one of our favorite tools for sparking family conversations about Godโ€™s story and how it all fits together.

Use this short paragraph When youโ€™re ready to dig deeper into Scripture without getting lost in complicated tools, Bible Hub is a wonderful place to start. It offers commentaries, concordances, original language references, and parallel translationsโ€”all in a clean, easy-to-use format. Itโ€™s one of my go-to resources for quick study and deeper understanding during family devotions.
