Memorization Strategies
Try one or two of these strategies to make memorizing easier, especially for dyslexia and learning differences.

Head Summary
Jesus invites tired, worn-out, weighed-down people to come to him. โWeary and burdenedโ includes physical tiredness, heavy emotions, and the weight of sin and shame. Rest here is more than a nap; it is relief, comfort, and deep soul-rest in being loved and carried by Jesus. The invitation is simple: come to him, and he will give rest.

Heart Prompt
What kinds of things make you feel weary or burdened right now – school, work, conflict, sadness, guilt, worry? When you feel that way, where do you usually go first for comfort or escape? How does it feel to hear Jesus personally say, โCome to meโฆ and I will give you rest,โ instead of โTry harderโ or โFigure it outโ?

Hands Practice
Choose one time each day this week when someone in the family feels especially tired, stressed, or upset. Pause for just a moment, sit or stand together, and have someone pray this verse: โJesus, we come to You. We are weary and burdened. Please give us Your rest.โ Take a slow deep breath together as a simple way of receiving that rest from Him.
Family Question
What would it look like, very practically, for our family to go to Jesus first when we feel overwhelmed or exhausted?
Prayer
Jesus, we are often weary and burdened in our bodies, minds, and hearts. Thank You that You invite people like us to come to You. Teach our family to bring our heaviness to You instead of trying to carry it alone. Give us Your rest and help us trust that You are gentle and kind. Amen.
